In 2007, I submitted a proposal to the Copyright Office for how it could positively benefit the public interest by allowing for the creation of "authorized Copyright Registrars." United Internet acquires United Domains - from Lycos Europe

After this weeks meeting where the proposal of the liquidation of Lycos Europe was agreed by the board. Lycos Europe started to sell off its assets. Lycos gets 34 million Euros for United Domains its domain registration business. The profitable business was founded back in 2000 and manages more than 1,1 million domains today.
