Last week we told you that there were 3, three letter .com’s, all dropping on the same day . Snapnames.com wound up getting all three, beating out NameJet.com, Pool.com and other registrars. Today the auction for one of those domain ended with MCU.com selling for a whooping $24,500. MCU is a common acronym for a Microcontroller Unit , also a Multipoint Control Unit , and sthe Municipal Credit Union located in NY City, and Miami Christian University.

Recently a plastic surgeon I know was called out to fix a lacerated ear. It is the domain of plastic surgeons pretty much all over the world. Just in from the .CM registry for the third time they have a start date for the Go Live registrations. The Go Live registration for .CM domain opens on September 18, 2009 at 08:00am UTC. The .CM registry also announced that all domains won at Namejet.com will be turned on as soon as paid for. The seemingly, unending sage of the .CM Landrush, and live registration mode, has gotten another push back. The .CM registry announced today, that the Landrush (the pre-order process) for .CM domains, which closed back on July 31st, will now be re-opened for two more weeks, starting on Monday.
