It is estimated that around 90% of all email last month was in fact spam . It is a voracious, never ending stream of drivel and it wastes countless hours of our time and energy. More than half of that junk mail is from domain names registered in China, sent from computers in China or it guides people back to sites hosted in China. Our good friends over at Shadowserver, have some really good info and analysis on the e-Christmas card trojan (Waledac variant) that is floating around. While there are no direct links to Chinese hackers, we are informed that they are using Chinese domain registrars. GUILTY! Shadowserver also asks the question Storm Worm? Yes, no? While they don’t draw any conclusions, they do note some curious similarities.
